The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: Week 5
Sermon Questions:
Do you prefer a fast-paced lifestyle or one that’s slow? What do you like or dislike about the pace of your life currently?
What do you think it looks like to, as Romans 12:1 says, present your body to God as a sacrifice?
What is a focal practice that you could incorporate into your current lifestyle and prayer life?
Is there a need in your life that is beyond your control?
How have you typically responded to God’s timing in the past? In what ways does God’s timing help us learn to slow down?
Walk it Out:
Practice: Pick two or three focal practices to add into your routine this week.
Pray: Ask God to help you figure out what distractions in your life are hindering your overall ability to slow down. Pray for the courage needed to address those areas head-on.
Memorize: “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans 12:1
