When We Meet on Sundays

 Sundays

9 and 10:30 AM

What To Expect  during a Sunday Service

WORSHIP
Worship is the act of giving God the honor and praise we believe He deserves. One of the ways we do that is through the form of music. During this portion of the service, most people will stand during the songs, sing along, and some might raise their hands; you are welcome to participate or stay seated if you prefer. We will also display the words on the screens so you can follow along if the songs are new to you.
PRAYER
We believe that prayer is the act of communicating with God. Therefore, throughout the service there will be periods when we pause to pray.  After each service, a group of committed people will stand towards the front by the stage and are available to pray with you about anything. Because we believe in the power of prayer, we encourage you to take advantage of the prayer team to discuss and pray about any issues you may be facing.
MESSAGE
A member of our teaching team will share a brief message that is part of the current sermon series. This message will be based off of Scripture and sometimes utilizes an additional resource. At the end of each message, the opportunity for anyone to receive Jesus as their personal Savior is given, which can be signified by simply raising your hand.
COMMUNION
On the first Sunday of each month we receive communion. Communion is symbolic of the price Jesus paid for our sins by His death on the cross. It is a time to remember that because Jesus died and rose again, we are able to be in relationship with God. Bread and juice will be distributed in trays by our ushers, and can be taken at your own pace.
TITHES & OFFERINGS
Every Sunday an offering box is located by our Connect counter.
Those who call Heights Church their home church give their financial tithe
and offerings as an act of obedience and a way of expressing
gratitude to God for His blessings.  There are also individuals who choose to give through the website or via our Heights Church App.
If you are our guest, please do not feel obligated to give anything.
