Distractions, opposition, and compromise can pull us away from God’s calling—but Nehemiah shows us how to stay focused.

When his enemies invited him to the plain of Ono, Nehemiah replied, “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down” (Nehemiah 6:3). His unwavering commitment teaches us to reject distractions, pursue God’s purpose, seek the good of our communities (Jeremiah 29:7), and faithfully finish the work God has given us.

Just as God enabled Nehemiah to complete the wall in 52 days, He will strengthen you to complete the assignment He’s placed before you.
